This is the final edition of my 2015 Mock Draft. I am sure that I will have less than a 20% success rate with my picks but anything can happen come draft night.
These are my final picks in the 2015 Mock Draft;
22. Pittsburgh Steelers
The Pick: Kevin Johnson
Steelers are in need at Outside Linebacker & Cornerback. I think they will go with Kevin Johnson here, due to him being the highest rated player in those position groups at this stage. Although Eli Harold could be a sleeper pick here. KJ has great cover skills, athleticism and competiveness which the Steelers will love since losing Ike Taylor in the off-season.
23. Detroit Lions
The Pick: Eddie Goldman
Lions lost a big piece of their defensive front this offseason and although they replaced them Ngata. I believe they will need to draft another defensive tackle this year to help replace the players they've lost. Eddie Goldman is that guy at #23. He lacks pass-rushing prowess but his power at the point of attack and ability to discard blockers to make plays will have the Lions very excited.
24. Arizona Cardinals
The Pick: Melvin Gordon
There has been talk of the Cardinals trading to obtain Peterson this off-season. I think they will chance their arm in the draft this year by taking Gordon when the opportunity arises. He is a talented open-field runner and a home-run hitter, and although he is not a three down back. Arizona can use him well with Andre Ellington to create a nice 1-2 punch behind Carson Palmer.
25. Carolina Panthers
The Pick: La'el Collins
The Panthers need to fill a big need on the offensive line to give Cam Newton that protection. La'el Collins is an upgrade at that position, he is a lumbering brawler and plays with a mean streak. He could come in straight away at guard but would need to improve before he moves to left tackle.
26. Baltimore Ravens
The Pick: Breshad Perriman
The Ravens currently have Steve Smith and a cast of no name receivers for this season. Perriman is a combination of great size and speed; he could come in as the no.2 receiver and learn from Smith in his rookie season. His routes are sometimes sloppy and his drops will drive teams crazy but his ability to make big plays will sway the decision here.
27. Dallas Cowboys
The Pick: Byron Jones
I have gone for Byron Jones here and this may be a massive long shot but his freakish combine performance mixed in with praise from around the league could see him go in the first round. He could be used in a free safety role with his instincts but may lack physicality for the position. He has good size, speed and has the ball skills to play the position.
28, Denver Broncos
The Pick: Phillip Dorsett
Dorsett is an explosive player and although not an immediate need for the Broncos, they have lost Julius Thomas & Wes Welker in the off-season. It will give Peyton Manning the offensive weapons he will need to succeed in trying to get that last superbowl. Dorsett has home-run potential as a slot guy and has averaged 25 yards per catch since 2012.
29. Indianapolis Colts
The Pick: Jordan Phillips
The Colts have done some very good business in the off season but they will need to try and overcome their kryptonite in the Patroits. I think Jordan Phillips would be a good addition with this pick as to beat the Pats they will need to stop the run where they have lacked in the last 4 games against them. Phillips flashes talent necessary to project good potential as a dominant run stuffer which the Colts need to strengthen up that defensive front.
30. Green Bay Packers
The Pick: Marcus Peters
Green Bay have so many offensive weapons that defence will be a main priority in this year's draft. They could use some help in the secondary, I think that they will go with Marcus Peters. They will need to keep an eye on him as he lacks discipline and maturity on the field and in practice. However, he is a raw talent and has the size, ball skills and confidence that NFL teams are looking for.
31. New Orleans Saints
The Pick: Jaelen Strong
After losing Jimmy Graham to the Seahawks, New Orleans requires a wide receiver with the size to help out on offence. The picked up Brandin Cooks last year and I think it would be wise to use their second pick on a receiver with the strength, size and ability to catch contested throws. He will need to improve his route running if he going to be more polished at the position.
32. New England Patriots
The Pick: Dorial Green-Beckham
New England are always the hardest to predict when it comes to the Draft. I think they will add Dorial Green-Beckham to pair up with Brandon Lafell on the outside which gives Tom Brady another top offensive weapon to try and add that 5th Superbowl Title and stake his claim for the greatest ever. He has some character concerns but the Patriots seem to be able to deal with players like this very well. He has vertical ability to change a game and the catch radius matched with the body control to make the difficult look easy.
I hope you have enjoyed reading my mock draft. Tune into the first round of the NFL Draft tonight on Sky Sports 3 at 12.00am to see where these prospects will be picked.
